The station’s employees may receive Christmas wishes from Agnieszka Kamińska as the president of Polish Radio this year for the last time. Since the elections, it has been said that the new government will want to make a revolution in public media. This also involves changes in management positions.
The president of Polish Radio awarded employees Christmas bonuses. How much were they?
Kamińska awarded bonuses to her employees two weeks before the upcoming holidays. According to press.pl, the company’s employees received an e-mail on St. Nicholas Day in which the president wished them well and informed them about monetary gifts.
Kamińska promised each employee a special benefit of PLN 1,200. PLN gross. According to the website, this is much more than a year ago, when the allowance amounted to several hundred zlotys. Telewizja Polska also granted employees similar Christmas bonuses.
Currently, we do not know when and what the changes in public media planned by the coalition will look like. The new government faces a challenge in the form of the National Media Council, in which members of Law and Justice have an advantage, and their term ends in two years. Experts say that in this situation, the new government should refer to the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal from 2016, which ruled that the institution operated unconstitutionally.
As reported by Wirtualne Media after the elections, the opposition is considering replacing Aleksandra Kamińska with Kamil Dąbrowa. The names of Anna Godzwon and Agnieszka Rucińska were also mentioned in the conversations.
