Polsat stations in trouble? The National Broadcasting Council has reservations about the schedule. It’s a wedding paradocumentary

The National Broadcasting Council regularly considers applications for the extension of licenses for radio and television broadcasters. During the last session of the body, no such step was decided for the Polsat Cafe and Disco Polo Music stations. The reason is said to be the Council’s objections to the content broadcast by these channels.

On Wednesday, December 8, during the meeting of the National Broadcasting Council, it was decided to extend the broadcasting license for the Polsat Music station. However, this was not done in the case of other channels of the same broadcaster – Polsat Cafe and Disco Polo Music.

A wedding paradocumentary in the crosshairs of the National Broadcasting Council. It’s full of obscene behavior

According to Wirtualne Media, the editorial office of the portal contacted a member of the National Broadcasting Council – prof. Tadeusz Kowalski. He confirmed that it had been decided to postpone the decision on this matter. Moreover, unofficial information from the website shows that the delay in the case of these two stations may result from the broadcast of a controversial para-documentary series broadcast by Disco Polo Music and Polo TV.

The National Broadcasting Council wants to verify “The Wedding from Hell”, which presents the fate of employees of a provincial wedding house. Each episode features a different wedding, and the chain of events is – to put it mildly – absurd. The series’ characters are often marriage fraudsters. Moreover, the program is full of fights, betrayals, alcohol and drug abuse, and disco polo music can be heard in the background all the time.

Council members now want to check the program and check whether it is not broadcast or repeated in the so-called protected time, i.e. between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. During these hours, you cannot broadcast content that may adversely affect the development of minors. In the coming days, the production will be shown at 11 p.m. or later. On TV, all swear words are drowned out.
