The reggaeton player Daddy Yankee has announced, in a concert in San Juan (Puerto Rico), that he definitively retires from music to dedicate yourself to living for Christ.

“My people, This day for me is the most important day of my life.. And I want to share it with you, because living a life of success is not the same as living a life with purpose,” Daddy Yankee began by saying after finishing his ‘show’ at the Puerto Rico Coliseum.

The urban music singer has taken advantage of his last concert in his homeland to convey to his fans and “the whole world” that he is not ashamed and that Christ lives in him. “Christ lives in me and I will live for him. “This is the end of a chapter and the beginning of a completely new one,” he published on his Instagram profile along with the video saying these words.

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his life? Or how much can a man pay for his life? For the Son of Man is going to come with the glory of his Father and with his angels, and then He will reward each one according to what he has done. Saint Matthew 16:26-27. Amen”, he added in the post.

“I was able to tour the world for years, win many awards, applause and praise, but I realized something the Bible says: ‘What good is it to a man to gain the whole world if he loses his soul?‘. Therefore, tonight, I recognize and am not ashamed to tell the entire world that Jesus lives in me and that I will live for him,” he confessed.
