Karolak canceled his performance. “The room was bad and the light was also bad.” The manager apologizes

Tomasz Karolak was supposed to perform a stand-up comedy at the Municipal Center in Kluki. Ultimately, the performance did not take place because it turned out that the actor did not like the hall’s furnishings. Specifically, it was about bad lighting.

Tomasz Karolak’s work does not end with acting in films and series. The actor occasionally performs stand-up comedy, and the residents of Kluki (Łódź Voivodeship) were supposed to go to the event with his participation. However, the performance did not take place, and details of its cancellation were provided by the website. The reason was the improperly prepared room of the local Municipal Cultural Center. Statements from both sides. The lighting failed

Karolak was supposed to perform on November 20 in front of the inhabitants of a village belonging to the Bełchatów district. “Live” has just published details of the whole case with comments from both the actor and the management of the Municipal Center. It turns out that the “culprit” of the whole incident is improper lighting.

“For everyone, for me, it was a huge surprise. The manager of the show was here for the third time, he knew the place and conditions perfectly, he had organized concerts here before. We were not to blame for anything. No one has ever complained about the lighting, although maybe it wasn’t there were stars of this caliber,” said Marzanna Socha, director of the Klukow facility.

The interested person himself noted that his performance did not take place because “the hall was completely unprepared for a stand-up performance.” “The organizers imagined that I would perform in a lit hall without any intimacy for both the viewer and the performer. An actor who “it has a form bordering on theater, it cannot have such conditions. It’s like going to the gym with the lights on. I refused to perform, which was not against the audience, God forbid, but against such treatment of the artist,” the actor explained the reason for the refusal.

The manager faces the consequences. “Both they and Tomek are very nice people”

Karolak’s manager, Mikołaj Jakubowski, took the blame. He revealed that he knew the place perfectly and the performance did not take place due to his incorrect preparation of the space. “Both them and Tomek are very nice people. Well, I guess you could say I failed,” he revealed. The advantage is that those interested in the event received a refund for their tickets, but they are unlikely to see Karolak in their village again.
