“Barbie” earned almost $1.5 billion at the box office, taking the lead in this duel. This, however, does not mean that “Oppenheimer” turned out to be a failure. On the contrary, there is no reason to be ashamed, because he collected an equally impressive USD 950 million. Viewers also loved the exciting, 3-hour story about the life of physicist Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy), the “father” of the nuclear bomb.

As reported by the portal, now the battle has moved to TV sets. Both films are now available on VOD and continue to enjoy unflagging popularity. The Samba TV website, which collects data and statistics on viewership from Smart TVs around the world, has released the first viewership data for “Oppenheimer”. Although the film has been available on global streaming platforms since November 22 this year, it has already been watched by 388,000 people. households in the US.

Similarly, after the premiere of “Barbie” in September, Samba TV reported that the production was watched by 363,000 people. households in the US. Thus, Oppenheimer finally triumphed. It is worth noting, however, that the data comes from an independent source, and not from the websites of the producers – Universal and Warner Bros.
