The actor and comedian Eddie Murphy has finally released his first Christmas movie, titled Snoepgoedlaan, about a man who desperately wants to win his neighborhood’s decorating contest. The premiere was on November 28 in Los Angeles.

“I’m very excited, I’ve never made a film with this theme before,” Murphy told Reuters. You can take your whole family,” he said, praising the story and saying it is one of those movies that people want to watch again and again.

In the film, his character (under contract) is allowed one wish and that is a magical Christmas. Than, Your Christmas decorations come to life, under the incredulous gaze of his family, who wanted a father who was a little more normal.

Invited to the show Jimmy Kimmel Murphy took the opportunity to promote his film and talk about his celebrity connections.

He recalled that when he met Frank Sinatra, he called him by name and congratulated him for looking “younger every day.” Murphy was 24 years old at the time.

He also met Mike Tyson, whom he also imitated. In one photo, next to the singer and the boxer, Murphy appears with Sammy Davis Jr., Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Richard Pryor, Magic Johnson, Goldie Hawn, Tony Danza and Michael Jackson.

The 62-year-old actor received the TheGrio Icon award this year, for 47 years in the entertainment industry.
