One day, electricity and gas supplies were temporarily cut off in her region for many hours. “Four hours without electricity, but a clay pot and a candle heat the room,” she wrote in the description of the video.

In the video, we see that Stacy lit three candles and placed a clay pot on top of them – allowing the flame to slowly heat the space. It turned out that some Internet users know this trick perfectly. Many of them even advised her on what to do to make heating from such a “source” more effective.

One of them stated, for example, that small cracks in a clay pot may affect the effectiveness of this method. “Tape all the cracks and you will feel where they need to be sealed the most,” he advised. “Packing tape, adhesive tape – it doesn’t matter, just seal it,” wrote another person.

Others were grateful and thanked her for her useful advice. “Nice to know in an emergency. I wish you all the best and stay safe,” one follower wrote.

Power and gas failures can happen unexpectedly, and it’s best to be prepared for such uncomfortable surprises – especially in the middle of frost or while on vacation in a summer house that is not equipped with a chimney installation.

When, for example, the central heating breaks down – and in winter such a breakdown may last up to a whole day – it is best to purchase an electric heater in advance. Using it will prevent the space from cooling down significantly. If the electricity is cut off, an electric heater will of course not help us. With such a situation in mind, you can unfortunately purchase a less ecological, but still a last resort in the event of a power outage, kerosene heater.
