The Warsaw Uprising Museum informed on social media about an unusual find. One of the women found an old suitcase in the trash, which turned out to be extremely valuable. When she returned it to the museum, wonderful souvenirs were discovered there.

Often we don’t even realize that we may have really valuable souvenirs at home. So instead of throwing away items that at first glance should be thrown into the trash, check carefully whether you are getting rid of unique historical specimens. One of the women recently discovered an old one lying among the garbage. It turned out to be very valuable.

During the Warsaw Uprising, a suitcase came into their hands straight from the trash. It was found in Warsaw at Szymanowskiego Street. It turned out to be a really important souvenir that enriched the museum’s collections. This is a suitcase that belonged to Katarzyna Bojarska née Pietrusińska. A description was found inside, which indicates that the woman took her belongings in a suitcase during the Warsaw Uprising. There were also letters from 1943 and 1944 inside.

Magdalena Kubanek, who is the cause of all the confusion, also left a trace in the comments section. She was the one who found the suitcase and gave it to the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The woman commented in a comment that she was very happy that she would now be able to see the suitcase in a museum and not in a garbage bin.
