Krystyna Janda was one of the people who took the COVID-19 vaccine out of sequence in December last year, for which she was hit by a huge wave of criticism. Now the actress has decided to return to the “vaccine scandal” in an honest conversation with Tomasz Lis.
Krystyna Janda about the vaccine scandal
– It turned out that the lady who invited us for a vaccine then received flowers and a medal from the minister. Nobody apologized to us. We were completely innocent. We had a rehearsal of the Avenue of Merit next to the hospital we knew, and we got a call to let us in. We did not think at all whether we are the first or the second, whether we can or cannot. They said: there are free vaccines, there is no one, they will be wasted. It just went. We were all seniors. Suddenly it turned out that we are some monsters who stole vaccines from people in need – says the actress. In addition, 17 other people from the world of media and culture were vaccinated at that time, incl. Maria Seweryn, Wiktor Zborowski and Edward Miszczak.
As the actress admitted, the hate she had to deal with at that time was so serious that she was even afraid to go out into the streets, and people outraged by her behavior showed their anger even in the theater.
– There were times when someone in the audience got up and left. But that’s why he bought a ticket, to do a demonstration and slam the door. One couple left in the first part, and after a break they came back to leave a second time. It made us laugh a lot – reported the actress.
