The journalistic and satirical program “Szkło kontaktowe” is one of the most popular items in the TVN24 schedule. Although Telewizja Polska has been broadcasting an equivalent of this program for several years under the name “W back of vision”, so far they have not managed to achieve the same high level of recognition that “Szkiełko” can boast of.
He turned on TVP Info and was shocked. “Imagine what he writes there”
In one of the last episodes of the program, the studio received a call from Mr. Włodzimierz from Strzelno, who stated at the beginning that he wanted to discuss two topics. – Now there was a vote in Strasbourg on the centralization of the European Union and, while changing channels, I accidentally turned on TVP Info. And there, imagine what he writes: nine MEPs from the KO and Left list voted for the centralization of the European Union – said a viewer of “Contact Glass”.
Mr. Włodzimierz quickly corrected the information provided by TVP Info that in fact only MEPs from the Left and one MEP from Poland 2050, Róża Thun, voted. – No one from KO voted – said the outraged man. Then he pointed out where the crux of the whole problem lies:
Something must be done about this TVP Info, because it is perfidious to see such a big red sign that nine MEPs from KO voted for the centralization of the European Union.
Even though Mr. Włodzimierz exceeded the time limit for telephone callers, the hosts of “Szkło kontaktowe” did not interrupt his speech. However, when the viewer had already finished, Wojciech Ziemiński turned to him: – Mr. Włodzimierz, I think change is coming, as Donald Tusk said, to which Tomasz Jachimek, sitting next to him, reacted with laughter.
And this is a matter of… well, we need to give the government enough power to come into being, and then various activities will take place – Ziemiński added.
TVP Info does not inform, but manipulates – we have known this for a long time
The host of “Contact Lens” did not comment on this situation, but the program’s viewers probably know what he thinks about it. However, when it comes to the “horror strip” on TVP Info, the station actually “informed” about nine MEPs who supported the centralization of the European Union. It was written: “9 MEPs elected from the lists of the Civic Coalition and the Left.”
The nine mentioned above are: Marek Balt, Marek Belka, Robert Biedroń, Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Łukasz Kohut, Bogusław Liberadzki, Leszek Miller, Sylwia Spurek and Roża Thun. These people ran for the European Parliament from the list of the European Coalition, which was created before the 2019 elections. It included candidates of PO, PSL, SLD, Nowoczesna and the Greens.
However, the European Coalition is not the same as the Civic Coalition, which brings together mainly politicians from the Civic Platform, Modern Platform and the Greens. This is a manipulation technique typical of TVP Info, thanks to which the station’s viewers did not learn that in fact all MEPs from PO (including Radosław Sikorski, Janina Ochojska, Ewa Kopacz) voted the same as Law and Justice politicians.
