EL UNIVERSO newspaper spoke with Ale La Torre, make-up artist of the official Valbonesi styling team.
“In the style, we focused on making it something very elegant and natural, to achieve flawless results with a little makeup because she has super beautiful skin, and we don’t want to overload her to have that subtlety and elegance,” she expresses.
According to La Torre, Valbonesi “used to research until she found her style and since we met, we’ve been working on the same principle, obviously at this point we’re super experts on what she wants and how I can capture it. We polished it to be the best,” he says.

In the color palette used for Valbonesi makeup, the expert explains that for the property, since it was daytime, “they used warm tones, with slightly light pink tones, to highlight her blue eyes and contrast with her dress. pastel yellow and in the same the way her hair is styled naturally.”

For Annabella’s (Azín, mother of president Daniel Nobo) makeup, “grey colors were used with a light blue tone, because she wanted to combine it with her dress. I think it looked spectacular. In both cases, we use eyelashes from the Ecuadorian brand Arianna Guillén Beauty, from the Ecuadorian make-up artist who creates them, in order to have a touch of the national product.”

According to La Torre, “preparing Lavinia for this ceremony (having the commandment), we focused on moisturizing the skin with serums that are normally used by brides and moisturizers so that at the same time as the skin absorbs them, it looks luminous. “This helps us brighten the foundation, so skin can look healthy and perfect at any time of day.”
La Torre, originally from Guayaquil, has been working as a make-up artist for over five years. She started with makeup for editorial photos for Roberto Pacurucu. “I did research in different workshops, I was self-taught and I like to do a lot of research in leather finishing,” he adds.

Valbonesi and La Torre met when a woman from Manabi was hired to be the face of the Gaskell brand. “They hired me to be the make-up artist for the campaign and that’s where we met. The photographer’s vision of the brand was super sober and natural, and that caught her attention about my work,” says the 32-year-old makeup artist about the opportunity, which she defines as the most important moment of her career.
