Maciej Damięcki said that acting saved his life
It was not announced what Maciej Damiêcki died of. However, in the past he fought with thyroid cancer and later prostate cancer. During his childhood, his life was also in danger due to cancer. When a lump was discovered on his neck, the only solution was to go abroad for surgery.
If it weren’t for the fact that the production of the film helped me to leave, I would probably be dead now – said Damięcki in one of the interviews. – I had to learn to speak again because after the surgery one string was cut and the other was damaged.
