“At the same time, the supervisory board decided to entrust Justyna Kulka with supervision over programming matters in all the channels we broadcast. Therefore, Justyna will supervise programming issues at Telewizja Polsat,” said Tomasz Matwiejczuk from Polsat.
It is widely reported that this change is dictated by the poor results of the programs that appeared in the autumn schedule. Edward Miszczak, who was associated with TVN for many years, moved to Polsat at the beginning of 2023 and in September they introduced three reality shows that did not win the hearts of viewers. These are “Doda. Dream Show”, “Real Housewives. Wives of Warsaw” and “Temptation Island Polska”.
The latter two performed so poorly that the broadcaster decided to move their broadcast to later hours, which had an even worse impact on the program viewership. Therefore, Polsat decided that no further seasons of these programs will be produced.
Of course, there have been shows that just didn’t work out. It is clear that they are below our expectations. We reacted relatively quickly. Programs were canceled or changed their bands, and costs were reduced – explained Stanisław Janowski, president of Telewizja Polsat.

The station’s current hit, “Our New Home,” also has worse viewership results. In the new season, it was decided to change the host, which did not please the viewers of the program. According to Wirtualne Media, this decision was not made by Miszczak, but he took responsibility for it.
In recent weeks, a lot of controversy has also been caused by the sudden removal of the “Cabaret Live” schedule, which was one of the most frequently watched items. The comedians accused the station of censorship, and the public perceives this change as a desire to please the United Right politicians, who have been the main characters of the sketches in recent months.
Recently, the portal unofficially reported that Edward Miszczak had been removed from work on creating the spring schedule. According to Wirtualne Media, their interlocutors confirm this information. However, the station’s spokesman has a different opinion, stating that the 68-year-old is still responsible for programming issues at Polsat.
The portal reports that, according to unofficial information, work on the spring schedule was to be entrusted to the president, Stanisław Janowski, and Katarzyna Wajda, who is Miszczak’s deputy, and previously Nina Terentiew. Miszczak himself was to be given the role of a consultant.
