Nikki Osborne in Australia became famous, among others, thanks to running the “Quizmania” program. Today, the comedian, actress and former model fulfills herself primarily as a presenter, stand-up comedian and television personality. Some time ago, in an interview with “The Courier Mail”, she talked about the moment of horror she experienced in Dubai.
She was coming back from vacation. At the airport, security took her sons away
The 42-year-old was returning to Australia from France. She spent her vacation with her two sons, 15-year-old Will and 10-year-old Teddy. During the transfer in Dubai, an unexpected and dramatic moment occurred. She talked about what happened in a recent interview.
It all started in the middle of the night during airport security. – I handed over our three boarding passes and passports. To my surprise, instead of giving them all to me, the customs officer pointed at my boys, handed them the documents, and then told me: “The lady will go through the gate to board. The boys will come with me,” – in an interview. As she admitted, the boys were terrified and she did not agree to leave them alone. One of them silently told her, “Stop them,” but Nikki was also distraught and shocked by what was happening.
– It was 2.30 in the morning, in a foreign country, they took my sons, took their passports, what could I do to stop them? – Osborne confessed in the interview, emphasizing that she knows well that such situations abroad can quickly change dramatically and not to the benefit of the traveler. The boys were taken to the screening room and Nikki followed them. The presenter noticed that apart from her teenage sons, there were only adults inside.
In the middle of the night, they detained her children at the airport. She did not hide her indignation
After the inspection, all three safely boarded the plane and returned to Australia. However, the disgust and shock remained. – Who in their right mind thinks that children can be separated from their mothers like this? – she admitted nervously in the conversation. In her opinion, it was also outrageous that a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old were subjected to control for no apparent reason. As she emphasized, one of them cried throughout the entire return flight, which lasted 14 hours. Nikki also warned others to avoid returning home with stopovers in Dubai and to be on the lookout for similar incidents.
