An intense and fascinating day, in honor of the letters, that is what you will experience in the Big house with the second edition of Independent Literature Meeting (ELI), which this year brings together important figures from national literature.

Writing, reading and dialogue are given space in this meeting where activities take place such as: book presentations, writing and creativity workshops, round table conferences on editorial management, master discussions on contemporary literature, a closing poetry jam on Saturday the 18th, and a book Fair of different themes that will be available for purchase.

Among the writers and literary critics who will meet are: Raúl Vallejo Corral, Andrea Crespo, Mariella Manrique, Jota Kintana, María Paulina Briones and Solange Rodríguez, Cecilia Ansaldo Briones and Cristina Burneo Salazar, who will give a keynote talk on literary translation and present his book Another way to kiss.

“We hope this space will allow Guayaquileños to do that Discuss, promote and disseminate news from the independent publishing market locally and nationally. We are committed to the exchange of ideas and experiences between writers, managers and editors with the city’s reading public,” he indicated. Santiago Toral Reyes, coordinator of the Literature major at Casa Grande University, in a statement to this newspaper:

The ELI was developed in the space of The stable, of the Big House, from today, Thursday November 16, until Saturday November 18, 2023. Free entrance.
