Information about the death of Krzysztof Kamiński was provided by the municipality in Piotrków Trybunalski. “Krzysztof Kamiński, an actor with a magical voice and director of outdoor shows and performances, died at the age of 72,” we read in the statement.

“To the question – who is he and how can he be presented? – he replied: “I am a man of the theater.” For fifteen years he was associated with the Powszechny Theater in Łódź, from where he emigrated to Germany during martial law. After twenty-five years of emigration – as he said, “Theatre simply exploded in me”. In 1982, Krzysztof Kamiński played in the film “Orinoco”, published poems by Norwid, Kazimierz Przerwa Tetmajer, and also created a series of albums with poetry to the film music of Michał Lorenc. His play “Love is the most important thing” with texts by Karol Wojtyła was performed not only in Poland, but also in Italy and the United States. He was a co-author of the historical shows “Zygmunt August w Piotrków” with Jerzy Zelnik in the main role and “Kmicice of Europe, or The Court of Krzysztof Arciszewski” with Olaf Lubaszenko.
Kamiński published an entry just before his death: I didn’t make it in time
In 2011, he played Bronek Liliput in the film “Sztos 2”. Three years later, he appeared in the cast of “Fifth. Don’t Go!” Katarzyna Jungowska. The actor also played episodic roles in well-known series such as “Nad rozlewiskiem”, “Baron24” or “Ranczo” and “Świat According to Kiepskich”.
According to the city of Piotrków Trybunalski, in October Kamiński wanted to go to the USA again and perform for Polonia. Two days before his death, he wrote on Facebook: “I didn’t make it in time. I was sick.”
