There was no mention of children, and yet their children were no longer little ones – 9 and 11 years old. However, the woman decided not to make a scandal.

How surprised she was when, after crossing the threshold of the restaurant, she saw older and younger children from the family running around the restaurant. She started looking for seats at the table; the lack of place cards for their daughters suggested that they were the only ones in the entire family who were not invited to the party. This was too much for them. They felt terrible. They expressed their wishes, gave a gift and left the party as quickly as possible. The whole family doesn’t speak to them now, claiming that they were just unnecessarily outraged and carried away. Mrs. Karolina thinks it’s a scandal to be treated so badly by your immediate family.
