Kevin Turen was born in New York, where he studied at Columbia University. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to start his production career. In total, he managed to work on over 40 productions. For most of his life, he worked as a producer or executive producer – on both feature-length and short films.

One of Turen’s most famous achievements was his work on Ti West’s horror series – “X” and “Pearl”. Shooting for “MaXXXine”, the closing of the trilogy, was completed before the actors’ strike began. He also worked on productions such as “Seven Lives”, “An American Crime”, “Arbitration”, “No Matter What the Cost”, “The Birth of a Nation”, “Villains”, “Pieces of a Woman”, “Antlers”, “Breaking”, and “The unbearable burden of great talent.”

However, the most recognizable productions on which he worked are two HBO Max series: “Euphoria” – which earned him an Emmy and BAFTA nomination, and the series “Idol”, which was the first series to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends,” recalled Jay Penske, his close friend. “He was proud of his children,” he emphasized.
