More than one film and book have already been written about the neighbors “from hell”. Some people take the saying “freedom in your own house” too literally and can effectively make life miserable for other residents of the building. In the past, the list of the most annoying behaviors of neighbors included, among others: noisy renovations, smoking in common areas and on the balcony, making noise and parties, or putting garbage in the corridor. What is the definition of a nuisance neighbor by the residents of Warsaw? We decided to check it out. You can watch the recording below:
A troublesome neighbor? Young people complain about one thing
When asked what the definition of a nuisance neighbor was, one of the students answered with disarming honesty. – I don’t want to answer this question because I’m probably that person – he said. When asked how he disturbed the neighbors, he admitted that he played the guitar “at night.” Another admitted that the events he organizes irritate his neighbors and they stop saying “hello” to him because of them.
– He is a neighbor who does not want to reach an agreement (…). If you are a young person, sometimes your friends will come to your house and it may be noisy, but all you need to do is say, “Please don’t make any noise,” and I think the first step is often to call the police. Even if you talk too loudly (…) The worst neighbor is one who simply doesn’t want to communicate, explained another.
Constant renovation and smoking on the balcony
On the other hand, some residents of the capital said that a troublesome neighbor is one “who drills from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.” – This happened to me when I was living with my grandparents for a while. For a month or two they were drilling from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. There was nothing they could do, our interlocutor complained.
The list of characteristics of a bothersome neighbor also includes smoking on the balcony. – Smoking on the balcony irritates me because I don’t smoke cigarettes. (…) Well, you could go outside. I also had a neighbor who would leave his apartment and light a cigarette in the stairwell. Later, it floated on the staircase until the cooperative finally posted the information – said a resident of Warsaw. What would you add to this list?
