American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known on the website as MrBeast, is the largest individual video content creator, and his channel is the second largest on the platform overall – it currently has 208 million subscribers. And although he has so far created content aimed mainly at causing controversy and polemics, he has now decided to turn his fame into “something good”. Together with specialists, he went to the Dark Continent to help the local inhabitants.

The creator began his video with the words: “This is the first of a hundred wells that we will build in this episode.” The next minutes of the recording show his actions so far in this matter. We don’t have to tell you how big a problem for the inhabitants of Africa is the very limited or even lack of access to running, clean water. MrBeast decided to help Africans, at least to a small extent. The first well was created in Kenya, in a small village. Then another 28 water reservoirs were built in the country, and then it was time for the next stops, including: Uganda, Cameroon and Somalia, which has been plunged into civil war for over three decades.

In total, these hundred wells will supply 500,000. people with clean drinking water.

– the YouTuber said in his video.

Not just wells. Systemic help for those most in need

The wells will be built primarily near strategic points, i.e. large residential clusters, hospitals and schools, where access to running drinking water is most important. Speaking of the last institution, students of the institutions also received new equipment for their classrooms. We are talking about computers and projectors, which will provide didactic support in their teaching. The youth also received support in their daily journeys to school in the form of bicycles or the construction of bridges to help them overcome difficulties on their way.

Not only Africa. Each of us can show support

However, this is not the end of the promises made by the Internet creator to the inhabitants of Africa. At the same time, he assured that he would soon organize a fundraiser as part of the “Water is Life” campaign, which would cover not only the Dark Continent, but also Asia. Moreover, all funds collected from video views will be used to build further drinking water reservoirs. You can watch the entire video from the action in Africa below:

MrBeast informed his fans that anyone can join the fundraiser. It is available on the Beast Philanthropy website. He has been known for his philanthropy for years. Less than a year ago, he published a video that presented the story of people struggling with low vision and a complete lack of vision. He financed cataract surgery for 1,000 people who could not afford it. Their emotion is probably the greatest reward for Donaldson himself.

Chasing cliques? Maybe. However, there is the other side of the coin. If video content creators do good to other people in this way, then let there be as many of them in this world as possible.
