In 2006, in an interview for the “Charaktery” magazine, Gustaw Holoubek told a story that took place during one of the rehearsals in the theater. Kalina Jędrusik was smoking a cigarette, which caused her to be warned by a firefighter present in the room. She answered him briefly: “Fuck off, fireman.” The outraged man went backstage to prepare a response, and when he returned, there was no Jędrusik on stage, but Barbara Rylska. The fireman, not realizing it, shouted at the innocent woman: “I can swear too, you old b…t!” Rylska complained to the director of the play, who decided to defend the actress. “You’re a dick!”, he shouted to the fireman, but… he also made a mistake and insulted the wrong person.
Another anecdote concerns Kalina Jędrusik’s visit to the store. While the times were associated with queues in stores and purchasing primarily what was necessary for life, here too the artist was not afraid to do things her own way. Supposedly, one day she entered a store in a bathrobe and high heels and, regardless of the , went straight to the counter. There she asked for a few bottles of champagne. Onlookers began to comment on her behavior, and Jędrusik calmly replied: “Well, I have to bathe in something.”

Kalina Jędrusik died on August 7, 1991 as a result of bronchial asthma caused by an allergy to fur. The singer was buried on August 13, 1991 in the Avenue of Merit, in grave 100 at the Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw. Her husband, Stanisław Dygat, also rests in the same grave.
