Wednesday’s edition of TVN’s “Fakty” was mostly devoted to famous people who died in recent months. At the very end of the daily, a special material was broadcast, announced by Piotr Kraśka with the words: “We do it at the same time every year and every year it is moving how many extraordinary and wonderful people have passed away in the last 12 months. And looking at these faces, I think that we all agree: it is not true that there are no irreplaceable people.
The “Fakty” team remembers its journalists. “It’s hard to believe they’re gone.”
After these words, romantic music began to play from the TV sets for two minutes, which served as a background for broadcasting short recordings or photos of people from the world of culture, art, politics or journalism who died in the last 12 months.
Viewers of “Fakty” TVN could see, among others: Mariusz Walter, Benedict XVI, Mirosław Hermaszewski, Jerzy Połomski, Silvio Berlusconi, Leonard Pietraszak, Jan Nowicki, Emilian Kamiński, Paweł Śpiewak, Przemysław Janowski, Metthew Perry, Janusz Weiss, Tina Turner and Sinead O’Connor.
The station’s distinguished journalists who have been creating news and journalistic programs on TVN for years have not been forgotten. At the very end of the material, a board with images of Grzegorz Miecugow, Dariusz Kmiecik, Marcin Pawłowski and Sebastian Podzdrowieny was broadcast. None of them was signed with their name and surname, but regular TVN viewers surely recognize these faces well. – It’s really hard to believe that they are no longer with us – added Piotr Kraśko, moved at the end.
