Selena Gomez is the latest celebrity to speak out about the conflict between Israel and Palestinebut he is currently under most criticism.

Another person said: “She is a hypocrite. If you say that one post cannot change the world, then why do you call yourself a philanthropist? Why are you writing about mental health, black lives matter, women’s rights…?”

A third user wrote: “Only Selena Gomez would find a way to raise the issue of genocide about herself.” This is a reaction to part of the actress’ announcement in which she says that due to the escalation of violence, she will take a break from social networks, “because my heart is torn by horror, hatred, violence, terror in the world”.

The star was also questioned about the marked difference in attitude towards another war conflict, the one between Russia and Ukraine. On that occasion, his attitude was the opposite, Gómez rather decided to donate to the cause last year.

Additionally, the entire Hadid family received hundreds of death threats when Gigi (one of the family’s two model sisters, Bella being the other) expressed her pro-Palestinian views on the war.
