Cabaret Młodych Panów has no illusions. No broadcasts mean “political games”

Polsat has given up cabarets on Sunday evenings for good. In an interview with Kultura.gazeta.pl, the spokeswoman of Kabaret Młodych Panów told what the behind-the-scenes of the “conversations” with Polsat look like.

for three weeks he had been changing the TV program at the last minute to Sunday evening. Instead of the planned cabarets from the “Young and Moral” series, full-length films from the 1990s and 2000s began to appear. Viewers have already watched “Men in Black” and “RIPD”. Despite this, recordings for subsequent episodes of the cabaret take place every Thursday, which are not later shown on the air.

Kabaret Młodych Panów has no information from Polsat

In an interview with Kultura.gazeta.pl, the spokeswoman for Kabaret Młodych Panów admitted that from the group’s perspective, it looks like a political game. What are the talks with Polsat about broadcasting the program? They don’t look like they don’t exist:

So far, there has been no meeting with Polsat, in terms of the management board or anyone deciding on the broadcasting of our program. All, or rather little, information that reaches us comes from Polsat employees who work with us in the production of the program. Their knowledge is as limited as ours, but no wonder, since Program Director Edward Miszczak “can’t say anything” either. We do not know the reason for the lack of broadcast of the “Młodzi i Moralni” program, but we can assume that it is related to political games – said Olga Polny, spokeswoman for the Young Gentlemen Cabaret.

She also added that further episodes of the show are invariably being created and perhaps one day they will be broadcast:

Kabaret Młodych Panów and other artists signed a contract with television to create and record the program “Młodzi i Moralni”. We all fulfill this task, apart from the fact that professionalism and honesty require it, we do it mainly for our audience. Everything is for her and we hope that Polsat viewers will finally see the new skits.

Polsat gives up cabarets?

However, contrary to the artists’ hopes, there are many indications that Polsat has decided to completely stop broadcasting cabarets on its main channel. Until now, the TV program for subsequent Sundays (e.g. November 5) included cabarets. Currently, they are already replaced with the next parts of “Men in Black”.
