What fertilizer should I use for Spathiphyllum? Use nut shells

Don’t throw away Italian shells. Instead, you can use them to prepare Spathiphyllum fertilizer. It is a source of potassium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and iron, which will support the plant in lush and healthy growth. This fertilizer will additionally strengthen the roots. What should I do?

  1. Prepare the shells of 20 walnuts and place them in a pot.
  2. Pour water over the shells and cook for 20 minutes (nuts from 20 shells and 20 minutes of cooking is an easy-to-remember 20:20 rule).
  3. Drain the shells in a strainer.
  4. Dilute the liquid with water in a 1:2 ratio and water the Spathiphyllum once every two weeks.
  5. Store the mixture in a covered jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Where to put a Spathiphyllum? The choice of place is of great importance

Spathiphyllum requires an appropriate location for lush and healthy growth. It is best to place the plant in partial shade. It probably won’t do well on a sunny windowsill. Try to keep the air temperature at the same level all year round and do not allow sudden changes, which may lead to inhibition of the growth of the pterygium. What else is worth remembering? Water the plant with soft water at room temperature and keep the soil constantly moist, but it should not be completely wet. If the Spathiphyllum is placed near a radiator, do not forget to regularly spray the leaves.
