In July, Andrzej Duda signed the act on changes in the payment of the 500 plus benefit. It now becomes 800 plus because more money will go to parents. Some people, however, fear that after the elections there may be changes in the government, which will lead to blocking the increase. It is worth noting, however, that Andrzej Duda has already signed the amendment, so the new Council of Ministers will not affect the amount of the benefit or the method of its payment. Donald Tusk also mentioned many times that 800 plus would not be withdrawn, and even the deputy head of PO, Tomasz Siemoniak, confirmed this. – Nothing that is given will be taken away – on Radio ZET.

800 plus. When will it be transferred to the accounts of eligible persons? Not everyone will receive them immediately

According to changes in the Act, 800 plus will be transferred to parents’ accounts from January 2024, but not everyone will receive the benefit by that date. This is all due to changes in the system that must be introduced by the Social Insurance Institution. Technical work may take a bit longer, so only some people will receive 800 plus in January. The rest, however, have no reason to do so. They will receive the allowance in February with compensation for January. This means that in February their accounts will receive a double amount of 800 plus, i.e. PLN 1,600. From March, the allowance is to be paid in the standard mode.
