We already know how many people have watched “The Quack” from Netflix. The film even beat “Sex Education”

“Quack” directed by Michał Gazda is a hit on Netflix. The viewers loved the new face of Professor Wilczur, played by Leszek Lichota. The numbers speak for themselves.

“After the premiere, it was the first time in our lives that we saw the audience applaud the film throughout the ENTIRE end credits and a long moment after them. Rightly so, because it is a fantastic film, made with love and great sensitivity to the subject, a moving and original film. And at the same time, it is a beautiful and a classic melodrama in the best sense of the word,” wrote Justyna Bryczkowska from Gazeta.pl in her review of “The Quack,” calling the picture “Netflix’s best Polish film.”

“Quack” is a hit on Netflix. How many viewers watched the new adaptation of the novel?

Positive reviews that appeared in both Polish and foreign media, extensive promotion, good cast, and perhaps above all, curiosity encouraged viewers to watch the production. Some watched “The Quack” hoping that it would provide them with emotions similar to those that the film with Jerzy Bińczycki had evoked for years, others to confirm their belief that the previous version was the only correct one.

Both of these groups contributed to the excellent viewership result of “Quack”. The third adaptation of Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz’s novel on Netflix has so far been watched by 1.64 million unique viewers – on press.pl. The data comes from research conducted by PlumResearch and covers the time from the premiere to October 15. According to researchers, a unique viewer is every profile who watched a given material once for at least two minutes.

“Quack” above “Sex Education”

In total, viewers spent 3.89 million hours with the new “Quack”. The result was only beaten by the fourth season of the series “Sex Education” with 4.95 million hours, but recorded a lower rate of unique viewers (1.06 million). In Netflix’s autumn hourly ranking, the leaders also include the series “Lupin” (2.22 million hours; 573 thousand viewers), the crime thriller “Gad” (1.69 million hours; 798 thousand viewers) and the thriller “Nowhere” (1 .22 million hours; 754 thousand viewers).
