Kabaret Młodych Panów about Polsat’s decision: Nobody consults us
Kabaret Młodych Panów, together with Kabaret Moranych Niepokoju, is co-responsible for the script of skits performed as part of “Cabaret Live. Młodzi i Moralni”. However, the cabaret artists are surprised and disgusted by the recent decisions of Polsat, which, as they say in a message to Kultura.gazeta.pl, does not talk or consult with them. They learn about the removal of cabarets from the schedule “at the last moment and without any explanations.”
We have no information from the station or an official position, no one is talking to us – writes Olga Polny, spokeswoman for Kabaret Młodych Panów. – The station sends us short, laconic and ambiguous answers through its employees, without informing us about the reasons for not broadcasting the program. All decisions of the station are made without us, we are not consulted and no talks are held with us. Hence, our conclusions are the same as Robert Górski’s, that this is preventive censorship.
We have no other explanation for this situation today. Our program is the most watched, it is a hit on the schedule, and yet it is canceled. This is not the case with programs that are a hit on the station. Typically, in such cases, programs are even more promoted and distinguished. In this case it’s the other way around. There must be great reasons to treat all of us this way as artists and all those who work hard on this program for their own good and the good of the station. This whole situation is incomprehensible to all of us. We are informed about changes in the program and broadcast at the last moment without any explanations – said the spokeswoman of the Young Gentlemen Cabaret.
Cabaret performers’ sketches in recent weeks have been mainly focused on politics. The failures of all political parties were shown, without sparing any party. They also joked about the church and various social problems. Kabaret Młodych Panów claims that the episodes blocked by Polsat did not differ in any way from the norm to which viewers were accustomed during “Cabarets Live”:
The subsequent episodes of the program did not contain content other than that which was in the previous five episodes broadcast by the station. As always, the sketches were social and moral, and as always we touched on politics in them, because it is part of our social life. Nothing has changed on our side, we do our job as before.

Last Thursday, Robert Górski invited his followers on social media to the Sunday edition of “Cabaret Live. Młodzi Moralni” on Polsat. “Watch, my dears. If they eliminate “Wiadomości”, we will have a monopoly on “- he wrote, amused. On Saturday, he already knew that the cabaret would not be broadcast on Polsat.
