Paúl Calderón, Fidel Jiménez and Francisco Galárraga, winners of various awards, have an important trajectory
Paúl Calderón, Francisco Galárraga and Fidel Jiménez, young and talented artists, will exhibit a collective exhibition of painting and drawing called “Tres Pintores Quiteños”. The exhibition, which will open on December 13, at 5:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the Pichincha Bar Association, “It arises with the purpose of sharing figurative painting as a container space for identity symbols.”
In it, small and medium-sized works will be appreciated, “which seek to transmit various emotions through the pictorial gesture,” explains Fidel Jiménez, one of the exhibitors.
The exhibition will be open until January 14, 2022, at the headquarters of the Pichincha Bar Association (Vicente Piedrahíta N15 -134 [E4 -62] and av. December 6, National Assembly sector).
The three exhibitors have maintained a rich and recognized pictorial career. Francisco Galárraga (1985) He studied at the San Francisco de Quito University and obtained his master’s degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He has had eight solo exhibitions and 36 group exhibitions in cities such as Buenos Aires, Kuala Lumpur and New York, among others. At the beginning of 2021 he obtained the first prize in the Seventh Drawing Room “April 21” of the House of Culture Núcleo Chimborazo, in the city of Riobamba.
Meanwhile, the work of Paúl Calderón was selected in “figurative” works Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) of Barcelona, 2019. The artist exhibited at the Centro Cultural Metropolitano, Sala V, Quito. He exhibited in four group shows and in 2020 he won the Fiftieth National Painting Salon “Luis A. Martínez”.

In addition, Fidel Jiménez, who studied at the Institute of Visual Arts in Quito and in the Faculty of Arts of the Central University of Ecuador, in 2006 it obtained the first place in the mural contest “Reflections on globalization and free trade agreements”, organized by the National Polytechnic University. In 2017 he was a guest painter at the “Alla Prima Open Painting Workshop” with the master Jaime Zapata. Between November and December of the same year, he held a group exhibition at the Jaime Zapata Workshop House. He participated in the III November National Painting Salon, Azogues 2020, and his work is currently in the Imaginar Casa de Arte gallery. (I)
