The wind of change is starting to blow not only around the parliament at Wiejska Street in Warsaw, but also at Woronicza at the TVP headquarters. According to “Presserwis”, Bogdan Borkowski will say goodbye to his job at the management board at the end of the year.

For Bogdan Borkowski, this is another departure from . The first took place in 2018 – Borkowski was then the director of the TVP legal office and exchanged this position for the presidency of WaryƄski Grupa Holdingowa. He returned to TVP together with Mateusz Matyszkowicz as one of his advisors.

According to “Presserwis”, Bogdan Borkowski and TVP plan to end their cooperation. Most likely, the advisor to the TVP management board will now have to give three months’ notice, which means that he will finish working at Woronicza at the end of the year.

Changes in TVP. Employees don’t know if they will keep their jobs

Less than a week has passed since the parliamentary elections, which changed the chessboard of Polish politics. TVP, dominated by government propaganda, has slowly started to change the narrative. Not only were politicians from the opposition and the Civic Coalition invited, which was not always the practice before, but also some of the leading employees of news programs began to treat discussion participants more equally.

Meanwhile, after the elections on TVP, the situation only looks good on the surface. Fears of layoffs are growing beneath the surface. . Employees speaking anonymously to Wirtualne Media mention “walking on thin ice”. The greatest fears may concern those who used their faces to endorse government propaganda.

Opposition politicians announced the accountability of public media many times before the elections. There was talk, among others: about redirecting the funds currently collected by TVP to other, more socially beneficial purposes. Let us remind you that every year PLN 2 billion is allocated from the state budget to Polish Television.
