Taking part in famous game shows is not as easy as it may seem. Some participants wait years for a response to their application and success in casting. Such people include Michał Kosacki, who became the hero of one of the last episodes of “”.
Millionaires. Michał Kosacki waited 14 years to participate in the program
The player is a mathematician from the village of Plewiska located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The participant came to the studio with his wife, who revealed that her partner had been waiting for the opportunity to take part in the program for as long as 14 years. Once he sat down in the chair next to Hubert Urbański, he walked like a storm.
The first question that the host asked Kosacki did not mean that the audience would follow his game with bated breath. The participant used the first lifeline on the PLN 2,000 question. Making a call to a friend paid off. Thanks to his friend’s advice, the player correctly answered the question: “Which architectural monster is this?” It was about a gargamel.
The next question was about the coat of arms of Albania. Kosacki correctly pointed out that the symbol of this country features a black eagle with two heads. Then he showed his knowledge of cinema and pop culture. He correctly answered the question: “The actor of which film’s title role was born in 1947 in Austria?” It was about the movie “Terminator” and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Millionaires. The participant goes like a storm. He has a good chance of making a million
Thanks to a question about a radio program from 1939 broadcast in Warsaw, Kosacki won PLN 20,000. He answered correctly that it was Władysław Szpilman who played the last live piano concert on air. The question for PLN 40,000 was: “In Mickiewicz’s “Forefathers’ Eve”: “Marshals, ladies, officials are coming, in equal shoes (…)”, that is:”. The player didn’t know the answer and asked for the “half and half” option. The lifebuoy guided Kosacki to the correct answer – he marked “B” – “at equal intervals”.
The next question concerned the orders established in the Holy Land during the Crusades. The player correctly indicated that the correct answer was the Knights of the Temple. He won PLN 125,000 because he knew which country sent soldiers armed with machine guns to fight emu birds in 1932. It was Australia.
When asking for PLN 250,000, Kosacki did not want to take any risks. He asked the audience to suggest who “is a necrophagist and often plays an important role in forensics during murder investigations.” Most of the people gathered in the room pointed to the common blowfly. The player took a risk, which turned out to be a great decision. At that moment, the airtime has ended, both the viewers and the participant will have to wait for the next dose of emotions until the next episode. According to many, Michał Kosacki is the perfect candidate to become the next millionaire in the history of the program.
