A new story about the fate of Professor Wilczur had to give way to a TVP documentary a few days ago. The film “Ania” was released in cinemas last year, but only now it has been added to the Netflix library. Within two days, it overtook “Quack” and topped the ranking of the streaming giant’s most popular productions (currently in second place).

The film about the life of actress Anna Przybylska was shown in 20 countries around the world, including Norway, Germany and Ireland, but it can only be watched on Netflix in Poland. “The Quack” therefore has a greater chance of achieving international success, given that it is already among the top ten most popular films in 55 countries.
The premiere of the documentary about the life of Anna Przybylska took place on October 5, 2022. Initially, the producers considered making a feature film, but eventually they decided to present the story in documentary form. The film consists of statements by Anna Przybylska’s relatives, friends and colleagues. After the screening at the festival in Gdynia, the audience gave “Ania” a standing ovation. The film was created in cooperation with Michał Bandurski and Krystian Kuczkowski, who had previously made similar productions about other famous artists – Maryla Rodowicz and Krzysztof Krawczyk.
Anna Przybylska died in 2014 of pancreatic cancer. She played, among others, in “Złotopolski”, “Career of Nikosia Dyzma”, “Daleko od noszy” and “Sęp”. Privately, she was in a relationship with Jarosław Bieniuk, with whom she had three children: Oliwia, Szymon and Jan.
