What are the requirements of a herbalist? Pay attention and she will be beautiful and healthy
The herb does not have many requirements, but it is worth providing it with some conditions. It will then grow beautifully and healthily. Even if you put it in the shade for some time and forget about watering, it probably won’t harm it. Not everyone trims the leaves and takes care of the lighting and air temperature, and yet the herb grows. Water moderately and try not to overwater the plant to prevent root rot. Grow the herb in permeable, slightly acidic soil. It is worth mixing it with peat or sand. Place the pot in partial shade or shade, preferably on an eastern windowsill. You don’t have to worry that the plant will be damaged by drafts. Usually it can even be placed near the radiator.
What doesn’t a herbalist like? Notice three things
Although the herb does not have many requirements, it can sometimes languish. There are three most common causes of this condition:
- Pay attention to the lighting. The plant does not have enough access to sunlight and withers. There cannot be too much of it, otherwise it will cause unsightly discoloration on the leaves.
- Take care of proper air. The leaves wither and become dry. You can sprinkle the plant with water or place it next to an air humidifier, which will improve its appearance.
- Change your watering method. It is best to do it often, but with little water. Liquid remaining in the pot can quickly kill the plant. It is better to dry it than to overwater it.
