Jesús Guzmán, the actor best known for his portrayal of Braulio, the postman in the series ‘Crónicas de un pueblo’, died this Tuesday at the age of 97. This has been confirmed by the Union of Actors and Actresses in a tweet saying goodbye to the actor who played numerous roles throughout his career and who was awarded the Medal of Honor of the National Association of Friends of the Historical Theaters of Spain.
Guzmán, born in 1926 in Madrid, has worked in a total of 155 moviessuch as ‘Death had a price’, ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ or ‘Twilight of a gunman’.
At just nine years old he went on stage to begin his acting career in theaters and it was not until 1956 that he debuted on the big screen with the film ‘Manolo, Guardia Urbana’. Other feature films that stand out from his career as an actor are ‘Three of the Red Cross’, ‘Atraco a las tres’, ‘La gran familia’ or ‘Television Stories’.
