In stores, we can buy a lot of products against various types of vermin that try to get into our homes. From traditional trowels, through special sprays, to electronic devices designed to deter them. Unfortunately, these are not always cheap, effective and, above all, safe for other household members.
Beware of females
It turns out that you can use various home remedies to combat intruders. Many products that we have in our kitchens and bathrooms work perfectly as repellents. We don’t have to resort to murdering with a trowel or a slipper. Especially since spiders are very useful creatures. Unfortunately, their appearance does not necessarily encourage you to prepare a warm bed for them in the corner of the room. In addition, if we find a female, we can quickly have a small spider farm at home. And this is impossible for many people to overcome.
Wash the floor with this and you will forget about the problem
So how do you deal with these intruders? A good way, of course, is to secure windows and doors. A mosquito net will work here, as it will stop them at the entrance. Placing pots of peppermint or lavender on the windowsills will work similarly, as their scent repels spiders. Some people use grandma’s method with chestnuts. More about this in the article below:
In addition to securing the entrances, washing the floor will also work well. But it’s not just about keeping your home clean (although it won’t hurt). It is worth adding a few drops of orange, cinnamon or eucalyptus oil to the water we use to wash the floor. Spiders hate pungent smells, so they won’t approach them. And we will benefit: the floor is clean, the house smells beautiful, and there are no spiders.
