The Minister of Culture and Linguistic Policy, Bingen Zupiria, announced this morning the names of the four winners of the Euskadi Literature Awards that remained to be announced. In an appearance held at the Artium Museum in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the names of the authors awarded the Euskadi Literature Awards in the categories of Literature in Spanish, Literary Translation into Basque, Essay in Basque and Essay in Spanish: Alejandro Morellón, The worst possible scenario; Maialen Berasategi and Joxe Mari Berasategi, Paradisua; Look at Billelabeitia, Norberak maite duena and Ander Izagirre, Return to the country of Elkano.

Finally, regarding the fourth prize, the Euskadi Prize for Essay in Spanish, the jury considers that The return to the country of Elkanoof Ander Izagirrecombines in writing “historical inquiry with a casual language with a sense of humor that brings the characters and historical adventures closer to those who read the work.” The jury was María Jesús Pando, Iñigo Marauri, María Pilar Rodríguez, María Gorosarri and Mikel Reparaz.
