The French Alliance in Ecuador presents her Festival of Urban Cultures, which has a whole agenda in Guayaquil from today until October 28. In this sixth edition there are exhibitions, guided tours, film screenings, dance and art workshops for all target groups. The special guests are two French dancers, Bouzid Ait Atmane (Zid) and Yanka Pedron (Yanka), with the dance Dans l’Arène.
Zid and Yanka present a hip-hop dancer’s journey through the world of combat, from the training room to the challenge. They also question the impact of the fights on the development of their dance and their artistic career, which at the same time connects choreographic research and pure performance. Four dancers living in Ecuador accompany them: Átomo, Lil Bratz, Marglen Phillips and Shaman.

The central Alliance Française Media Library will be the setting for a writing and rap battle workshop on Friday, October 20 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
And on Saturday the 12th, at 10 a.m., Martín Álvarez will give an urban dance and waacking workshop at the Espacio Conciencia Positiva (Imbabura 239 and Rocafuerte). Admission is free, registration is required.
