Many Polish musicians, actors and cabaret performers distance themselves from Polish Television. Other celebrities such as Marcin Wójcik and Micha³ Szpak declare that until TVP’s narrative changes, they will not appear in the station’s projects. However, there are also those who do not like the Polish Television’s message, but we can still watch them there.
Michał Żebrowski does not support the government, but appears on TVP. He explained why
Michał Żebrowski is one of the actors who does not sympathize with the current government, but has been appearing on TVP for years. The actor has been playing the role of Professor Falkowicz for 14 years and declares that he has no intention of giving up this job.
“I am absolutely convinced that our series has never been governmental and has never supported any authority,” Żebrowski emphasizes in an interview with Magda Mołek in the “W moja styl” podcast. The actor also noted that he plays his character with great pleasure.
Żebrowski in a conversation with Magda Mołek: Poland must be saved
In the conversation, Żebrowski convinces listeners that viewers of the series have no problem separating “For Good and For Bad” from the attitudes represented by TVP and the current government. “Simply, this series serves the viewers and I have many proofs that (…) they can’t wait to say goodbye to this power. I know it, so I’m calm,” says the actor.
Magda Mołek noted in the interview that the future fate of Professor Falkowicz in the series may also depend on the election results. The journalist suggested that the creators might even kill off the character so that there would be as few anti-government faces on TVP as possible. It was difficult for Żebrowski to comment on this. Instead, he appealed: “We have to go to the elections because we have to save Poland.”
