Soprano Astrid Achi He passed away on the morning of this Friday, October 13. His death occurred at the age of 62 due to cardiorespiratory arrest.

The artist was hospitalized in intensive care unit from Solca, in Guayaquil, where he underwent a complicated operation. The news of her death was confirmed to this newspaper by Dr. Nelson Estrella, Achia’s ex-husband and father of her youngest daughter, Viviana.

His burial is expected to be in Parque de la Paz, on Febres-Cordero Avenue.
