Magda Gessler went to Upper Silesia to make “Kitchen Revolutions”. She didn’t like the soup

Magda Gessler has been traveling all over Poland for 13 years to help restaurateurs get back on their feet. In the last episode of “Kitchen Revolutions” she visited Bytom, where the “Restauracja pod Orzechem” is located, run by Janina and W³adys³aw. All employees worked hard, but this did not make the premises profitable. Did Magda Gessler change the fate of the pub?

The current season of “Kitchen Revolutions” is the 27th installment of the popular show. In the last episode, Magda Gessler visited Bytom, where the “Restauracja pod Orzechem” is located. The owners of the place are Janina and Władysław, but Sylwia and Tomasz run the restaurant on a daily basis.

This is a family business in which the owners put their whole hearts, but the number of guests could often be counted on the fingers of one hand. “Sometimes there will be a day when there are practically no guests,” the waitress Martyna confessed to the cameras.

Magda Gessler came to Bytom. She didn’t like the sourdough soup

Information came to light that the “Restauracja pod Orzechem” was supported only by additional income from the car repair shop run by Tomasz. “If this continues, unfortunately, we will have to take steps to sell the restaurant,” Sylwia said regretfully.

The most famous restaurateur in the country came to Upper Silesia to try to save this business. When she entered the premises, she immediately did not like the decor of “Restauracja pod Orzechami”. – A mixture of modernity, pretentiousness and nothingness – commented Gessler.

Later, the host decided to choose a few dishes from the menu. She decided to try, among others: sourdough soup, roast pork and meat dumplings. Magda Gessler didn’t like the soup the most. – Potatoes undercooked, it’s a bit strange – she admitted. However, her palate was captivated by roast pork accompanied by Silesian dumplings:

It’s like a roast, it’s tasty. The cabbage is very well done, the noodles too. This dish was a success, Gessler admitted happily.

After tasting the specialties of the “Restauracja pod Orzechem”, the host of the show decided to talk privately with the owners of the Bytom restaurant. Magda Gessler had a lot of reservations about the way the pub was managed. She said that chefs should have more trust in chefs, who should have full authority over the preparation of dishes.

You back out, you can come in the evening to get the money – she joked ironically.

Then, as usual, the host looked into the back room to check the cleanliness. The kitchen was dirty, to which Gessler reacted in her typical way. The restaurant owners agreed with the owner and immediately started cleaning up.

Magda Gessler led a revolution in Bytom. Will he recommend a new restaurant in Upper Silesia?

After general cleaning, which took the entire second day of the revolution, Magda Gessler came to the pub the next day to present her business idea. She proposed changing the “Restauracja pod Orzechem” into “The Nutcracker”. The new place would focus on dishes based on fresh vegetables and good quality meat. On the last day, the star of the show prepared a tasting dinner with the chefs, which turned out to be a hit.

Magda Gessler visited Bytom again four weeks ago to check whether the owners of the “Nutcracker” are doing well. The host ordered, among others: veal meatballs, potato pancake and borscht. Initially, she had a few reservations:

The taste of borscht itself is amazing, but the depth of the beetroot is lost due to the type of beetroot used here – she commented.

However, Magda Gessler really liked the potato pancake, which made a great impression on her, to the delight of the owners. The host decided to praise them for their hard work and determination, to which Tomasz responded in front of the cameras. – It’s amazing! What is happening has exceeded our expectations in every respect, he confessed.

Magda Gessler, on the other hand, assessed this revolution with the words: “Very tasty, very beautiful, very unique.” It can be suspected that the TVN star will probably like to visit the restaurant featured in the program during his visits to Upper Silesia.
