Horror Season has started on Netflix. It opens with a new series “The Fall of the House of Usher”

You can already feel the Halloween atmosphere on Netflix. A new horror series has just debuted on the platform. “The Fall of the House of Usher”, which is inspired by Edgar Alan Poe’s novel of the same title. The cast includes only stars, such as Bruce Greenwood and Marry McDonell.

The production is the responsibility of horror master Mike Flanagan, who for years as a Netflix showrunner created such works as “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Night Mass”. Now it’s back with the last series made for the streaming giant, as it moved to Amazon Prime Video some time ago.

What is “The Fall of the House of Usher” about?

The Usher family are pharmaceutical industry tycoons who have been running their company with great success for years. At its top stand the siblings: Roderick and Madeline Usher. The former has six children, each with a different woman, which means that family ties are not as strong as they might seem.

The ruthless siblings turned Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power, but dark secrets from the past come to light when the heirs of the dynasty begin to die at the hands of a mysterious woman.

Throughout eight episodes, we will learn the fate of individual family members who are striving to reach their destination. As you can guess, it is their insistent and unyielding attitude that will lead to many blood-curdling events that we did not even dream about at night.

The main roles include Bruce Greenwood (“Doctor Sleep”, “Kingsman”, “The Fourth Estate”), Marry McDonnel (“L.A. Mysteries”, “Scream 4”, “Donnie Darko”), Carl Lumbly (” Strength and Honor”, “Escape from Alcatraz”) or Mark Hamill known from the “Star Wars” films.
