De Su was founded in 1993 by Małgorzata Pruszyńska, and its members included Daria Druzgała, Beata Kacprzyk and Anna Mamczur, who left the formation very quickly. The singers met while working on the musical “Metro”, where they sang.
The trio initially appeared as a backing vocals on the album titled “Elf” by Varius Manx. The band’s leader, Robert Janson, saw the girls’ potential and a year later, with his help, they released their debut album entitled “DeSu”. The album was promoted by the song “Life is a miracle”, which quickly became very popular. The album sold quickly and became a gold record.

The girlsband also performed at the festival in Opole in 1996, where they appeared in their characteristic satin nightgowns, in which they also appeared in the music video for their biggest hit.
On the wave of success, the De Su girls decided to take a break and devote themselves to working on their next album. Years later, it turned out to be a terrible decision, because the girl group’s fame faded, which resulted in the second album titled “Feelings” was a commercial failure.
Shortly after the release of this album, Katarzyna Rodowicz joined the band, and we can hear her on the group’s second biggest hit, the Christmas song “Kto wie”. This song was very well received and is played on mainstream radio stations every year at the beginning of December.
De Su was a band of one season, but they accompany us during every holiday
However, it no longer matters much to the band members, because it turns out that this song was the beginning of the end for De Su. Shortly after its release, Beata Kacprzyk passed away and decided to focus on motherhood. Soon after, Daria Druzgała left the band and De Su broke up.
The only singer who still wanted to try her hand at music was Małgorzata Pruszyńska. Together with Katarzyna Rodowicz, she created a duet called 2Su and together they released two songs, including a cover of the hit “Kto wie?”. However, the band was not successful and in the early 1900s the singers suspended the band’s activities.

Beata Kacprzyk, who was the first to leave the band, decided to become an actress. She graduated from the State Theater School in Krakow and soon began appearing on television. We could see her in such series as “Commissioner Alex”, “Usta Usta” or “Samo Życie”. For some time she also performed at the TrzyRzecze Theater, and in 2018 she was among the jurors of the show “Let’s sing together. All Together Now”. Recently, she could be seen in the series “True Motifs” broadcast on TV Puls.
However, what may be more surprising is the fact that Kacprzyk is currently one of the TV presenters of jewelry shopping. For several years, on the niche channel Polonia 1 – which for 25 years has been known mainly for broadcasting teleshopping and erotic advertisements – former singer De Su has been the host of the “Klejnot TV” program, where you can buy various types of rings and necklaces at surprisingly low prices.
However, after the band’s breakup, Daria Druzgała also decided to use her recognition. She started hosting the program “Everything gra” on RTL7, and later collaborated with Krzysztof Skiba on “Przebojowa Łódź Podwodna” broadcast on TVP. Then she could be seen at the Roma Theater for some time. Currently, Druzgała is deputy director at the government-owned Polish Radio for Children.
But the band’s founder, Małgorzata Pruszyńska, had the greatest musical ambitions. After the breakup of 2Su, she decided to try to develop a solo career, adopting the stage name Margo Su. In 2003, she released the album “Nieuziemiona”, which, however, went unnoticed. The singer went to Germany and started her acting career. A few years ago, she expressed her desire to reactivate De Su and release a new album on Facebook.
