Arnold Schwarzenegger played in “Terminator”. Now he talks about complexes: I feel broken

For 76-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger, the biggest problem is the passing of time. In an interview on “The Howard Stern Show” he admitted that he cannot accept how his figure has changed over the last few years. “When I look in the mirror, I smile with pity,” he says.

he doesn’t exercise as intensely as he used to due to his age and the restrictions imposed on him by doctors. The actor is experiencing a decline in his form, which was his trademark in the past. Everyone probably remembers Arnold’s athletic and sculpted figure from the times of “Liquidator”, “P” and many other blockbuster titles. However, time cannot be stopped and each of us will sooner or later reach the age when we will notice visible changes in appearance and a decrease in physical strength. or that the skin will become less elastic. However, this is a natural process that is constantly progressing and it is best to simply accept it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger stands in front of the mirror and says: You suck

However, acceptance is difficult for 76-year-old Schwarzenegger, who does not hide the fact that when he looks in the mirror, he feels devastated. “When I look in the mirror, I smile with pity and think to myself: ‘You’re hopeless. Look at your body. Look at your chest muscles – they used to be elastic and strong, and now they’re just saggy,'” he reported in an interview for “The Howard Stern Show” . Let’s remember that before Arnold became an actor, he was also a bodybuilder for a long time. Muscles and appearance were therefore his way of earning money and attracting attention. When he entered the world of cinema, he was always cast in the roles of dangerous and strong men, bad or good heroes.

It was true that he was great at playing both the antagonist and the protagonist. So it’s easy to understand why his figure is still so important to him. “When you spend years being praised for your perfect body, it defines you. You see the veins in your stomach, you see the veins in your chest, and then you turn the clock back 50 years and it’s gone, you’ve lost it forever. When I was 30, 40, I didn’t think something like this would happen. It just sucks,” Schwarzenegger continued.

Although doctors advised him to put aside heavy weights, the actor does not intend to stop working on his figure. At the age of 76, he still feels young and has no shortage of energy.
