Ben Nathan said that he ran away and lost his friends. “I ran as fast as I could for a few minutes, but then I lost my strength. My legs gave out, I was out of breath. Ben Natan explained that he hid in the bushes with other people for about an hour. At first I thought she was trying to protect herself from the bullets, but then I realized that she had been murdered,” Ben Natan reports the events.
The 37-year-old spent the next hours hidden in other bushes that sheltered him and a group of other people from the militants’ attack. “There was a war going on outside. I served in the army, but I never heard such things. Bullets, rockets, grenades. It was total chaos,” he added.
The 37-year-old’s friends also managed to survive the tragedy. One of them was shot in the back. “He told me that he only noticed the wound when he reached a safe place. He was with his wife. The girl hiding with them was murdered in front of them,” says Ben Natan. “It was a real nightmare,” he concludes.
