Torbicka appealed to her followers on social media and encouraged them to take part in the parliamentary elections next Sunday:
Imagine that only men have the right to vote in parliamentary elections. We, women, DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE, and that was the case 105 years ago. Our voice was irrelevant, of little social importance. Would we like to be in such a situation? I don’t think so. So let’s use our voice, because it is not true that one vote does not change anything, she wrote.
What does she think one vote can change? The answer is very simple: “Everything.”
If I don’t vote, it means that I don’t care about what’s going on around me or what country I live in. And it’s not true that things can’t be normal here. It can be normal! There are a lot of issues that need to be sorted out and changed.
