He decided to write down his address and phone number on a piece of paper, asking her to contact him, but his plan was thwarted by the teacher supervising the group. However, he did not give up and with the help of his friends, he found the beauty that turned his head.
She was a teenager when they met. She gave up her studies for him
Their first one took place in a cafe. Later they went for a walk, during which he suggested watching a movie. He was surprised when she refused. This turned out to be due to her father, who warned her against such practices. Then Borowiec asked her to meet him. When this happened, his future in-laws went crazy about him. Not only did they agree to let their daughter’s beloved visit her in Łódź, but they also supported her visits to him in the capital. Although Brylska and Borowiec met only on weekends, they did not see the world outside of each other. – Janek taught me everything: good manners, how to look at literature. He was my ideal and role model. I truly owe him more than anyone – all these years later.
After passing the secondary school leaving examination, Brylska began her studies at the Łódź Film School. However, she had less and less time for her beloved, which did not please his parents. They believed that the relationship with the actress had no future. So in 1961, she resigned, and two months later she joined him on the wedding carpet.

However, it did not matter much, because she made her career without a diploma, and the role of a priestess in the cult “Pharaoh” was a real breakthrough for her and a ticket to the world of cinema.

At the same time, dark clouds began to gather over her marriage. After rumors that she had an affair with , the relationship with Jan Borowiec cooled down a bit for some time. Soon she wanted to become a mother. First, however, she wanted to have a solid education and be sure that she was an actress also on paper. A year later, she defended her diploma and told her lover about her dreams. When he heard about the baby, he bought her a poodle. She was disappointed and felt that this relationship was going nowhere.
Barbara had less and less time for herself and her husband. He was also less and less willing to go places with her, he used to say that he didn’t want to lose his own life in the spotlight of her spotlight. The couple were still very close friends, but there was no doubt that they had missed out on great emotions.
