Will it be the best opening of the year in the USA? Globally, pre-sales have already exceeded PLN 100 million

Taylor Swift’s concert tour has broken many records (including becoming the best-selling concert tour in the United States in history), and the same is true with the film. Distributor AMC Theaters reports that profits from advance ticket sales have already exceeded $100 million worldwide. As soon as tickets for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” went on sale, the AMC network recorded a record. Never before have they sold as much as $26 million in tickets for a movie in one day. Previously, the best result belonged to “Spider-Man: No Way Home” with $16.9 million.

Variety notes that this year, only five films grossed more than $100 million in their first weekend in North America. These were “Barbie” (162 million), “Super Mario Bros. The Movie” (146 million), “Spider-Man: Beyond” (120 million), “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” (118 million) and “Ant Man and Wasp: Quantomania” (106 million). “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” has a great chance of making at least the top three in this ranking.
