“Somehow it happened that we suddenly put on slimming corsets, toupees on rare places, appropriate make-up, the prettiest outfits and took a photo. If there is a continuation, it will happen…” wrote Wojciech Mann two months ago, showing his photo with Krzysztof Materna. The description, referring to the title of their very popular joint program “The program will continue in a moment”, suggested that they were returning to cooperation. Now we know it’s an audio podcast.

Skits known from “The program continues in a moment” are still quoted by several generations. Parodies of “The Magic of Couples”, “Wheel of Fortune” and the famous series “Pulse Pulse”, “Circle of Abundance” and “Uncle’s Love Advice”, full of absurd humor, are still entertaining. Wohciech Mann and Krzysztof Materna join forces after many years.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the gentlemen created the following programs together on Polish Television: “Mądrej miłość…”, “The program will continue in a moment”, “MdM, i.e. Mann to Materna, Materna do Mann” and “MdM after hours”, and in the 21st century (from 2005 and 2007 respectively) “MaMa” and “Mc², i.e. Mann and Materna’s time machine”. They also worked together at TV Puls on “Msquare”, co-hosted radio programs on several stations, and in the 1990s they developed the formula of Radio Kolor. They also published together, among others: the book “Journeys small and large, or how we became worldlings”.
In 1999, Materna, together with Mann, took first place in the “Polityka” poll for the most important television personalities. Their new podcast called “Mann i Materna. Forefathers’ Eve from the drawer” will start on October 6 at 8 p.m. on Onet.
