A meeting regarding the rules of the debate scheduled for next Monday was held at the headquarters of Telewizja Polska. The arrangements show that the pre-election meeting with politicians of all parties will be broadcast at 6:30 p.m., and not at 9:00 p.m. as previously planned.
This means that the debate will take place in a worse programming time, which will probably be watched by fewer viewers. Moreover, after its transmission, “Wiadomości” will be broadcast immediately, in which the politicians’ clash will certainly be discussed in accordance with the pro-government narrative prevailing there.
In the debate organized by TVP, participants will not ask each other questions
There was also information that a member of each committee would have a total of 7 minutes to use in the debate. There will be six questions, and each politician will have 60 seconds to speak. However, there was no possibility for committee representatives to ask each other questions.
Additionally, PO politicians in unofficial conversations indicated that Donald Tusk was unlikely to take part in the debate organized by TVP. They said that the former prime minister could appear there if Jarosław Kaczyński appeared there on behalf of PiS. However, the president has been avoiding pre-election debates for a long time, so he is unlikely to decide to take part in it this year.

TVP puts forward jury hosts for the pre-election debate
Despite this, none of the interlocutors says that Donald Tusk will definitely not take part in Monday’s pre-election debate. This would be a very interesting solution because one of the hosts will be the chief publicist of TVP, Michał Rachoń.

Moreover, he is the creator of the series “Reset”, which attacks the opposition leader. The remaining host will be the female face of TVP Info, Anna Bogusiewicz. An employee of a pro-government television station was recently promoted and now hosts weekend editions of TVP1’s “Wiadomości”.
