Janusz Grudziński is dead. For the last forty years he has been associated with the band, where he was responsible for the keyboard layer of Kazik’s most famous songs. His friend, journalist Robert Mazurek, announced the musician’s death on Monday evening.

Janusz Grudziński would celebrate his 62nd birthday in a few days. Born in 1961, the multi-instrumentalist joined Kult when he was only 21 years old. Since then, he has been associated with the team with short breaks until 2020.
Janusz Grudziński, the keyboardist of Kult for many years, the unforgettable Prince of Warsaw, a great friend, is dead – wrote on Twitter / X Robert Mazurek.
He also added a private memory about the musician:
My wife first cried, and then laughed, remembering how Janusz played at concerts and read a book AT THE SAME TIME – he added.
Observers of Mazurka and fans of Kult confirm that Grudziński not only devoured books at concerts, but was a fan of all kinds of literature in general – he also had a habit of reading newspapers,
But he wasn’t limited only to rock music. He also created film music and music for TV series. We owe the musical setting to him, among others. to “Foster Family” and “Dad, and Marcin said…”. In recent years, he has tried his hand at being a voice-over artist.
But it was as Kult’s keyboardist that he gained the greatest recognition. The band and fans are shocked. On social media, Cult members honored their friend’s death in a small but very symbolic way – the Cult logo was changed to black and white. Under the post there are many fan photos from the band’s concerts, in which Grudziński still took part, as well as words full of sadness:
